Dear City of Woodcreek neighbors, this November election will give you the opportunity to vote for a Mayor and two council members. I would like to highlight some of the differences between the two candidates running for Mayor regarding issues I think are important to you.

On the heels of a successful fund-raising dinner and concert at the end of September, the Wimberley Valley Big Band will perform a free, family- friendly outdoor concert, aptly entitled “Groovin’ on the Square” from 5 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Few drivers may be aware that there are cameras in place in town that routinely use license plate recognition software to scan plates, providing information to police in a moment’s notice if a vehicle is suspected of being involved in a crime.

Live Music Calendar

Wimberley High School rounded out the first round of district play as the Lady Texans defeated rivals Navarro and Canyon Lake High Schools to sit firmly in second place. The Lady Texans improved their record to 25-6 overall and finished the first round of district play at 5-1. In the game on Tuesday, Sept. 26, the Lady Texans squared off with rival Navarro in a battle of stateranked teams and for sole possession of second place in the district standings.
