A 90-minute class designed for volunteers tasked with creating press releases for their non-profit organizations will be held February 21 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the EMS Classroom in Wimberley. The class is designed to get you up to speed in a hurry, no matter your background or skill level. It teaches the information basics — who, what, when, where, how much, and why — and the hierarchy of information that publicists employ to organize facts for the media. The class is taught by Teresa Kendrick, Managing Editor of the Wimberley View, and costs $20. The fee goes to the Civic Club’s Spring Events activities that raise funds for area non-profits and scholarships. The EMS classroom is located at 220 Twilight Trail. Class limit is 12 and the last day to register is February 14. 02/07/2024 12:00 AM
