WHS Senior Caden Romo to be Air Force Falcon

Wimberley HS senior Caden Romo signed a National Letter of Intent on December 20th at a ceremony at WHS’s Texan Gym to continue his playing career at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Flanked by his immediate family, and cheered on by scores of other family members and many of his Texan teammates, Romo made official a verbal commitment he gave to the Falcons back in June.

The 5K route begins at Blue Hole, winds through downtown Wimberley and concludes with an exhilarating plunge into the crisp waters of Cypress Creek. The festivities include music, food and drink vendors, games, prizes and a warming fire pit.

Two central Texas aquatic species have avoided listing on the Endangered Species Act: the Texas Troglobitic Water Slater– a small subterranean crustacean that lives deep within the Edwards Aquifer in Hays County and the Mimic Cavesnail–a small freshwater snail that lives in the Edwards Aquifer in Bexar County.
