Wimberley High School golfer Jaxon Donaldson smiled big and leaned back in his seat: “I’m excited because we’re going down to Victoria as a team. We have a real chance to get out of regionals and get to the state tournament as a group, and that’s a new experience for me. I’m really happy about it.”

With a shortened week for Good Friday and Easter weekend, last week’s contests at the Wimberley Sports Complex were adjusted to Monday and Thursday. When a cold front moved in late Wednesday, Thursday’s games were moved over to Monday. Both variables, holiday observance and weather, played a part in circumstances.
