The Homeless Coalition of Hays County is set to conduct a count of individuals who are staying in emergency shelters, transitional housing and unsheltered locations throughout Hays County later this month.

Representatives from Post Oak Solutions will host a meeting at City Hall at the end of the month to discuss the proposed historic district design guidelines for downtown Wimberley.

The city of Wimberley is taking applications from individuals, groups and organizations for grants from its Hotel Occupancy Tax fund.

StoryFest returned to Wimberley this year with a stellar theme, “Once Upon a Time… where stories began,” encouraging attendees to look to the stars where many myths found their origin.

Calls have grown louder for body camera footage to be released following the fatal shooting of Hays County inmate Joshua Wright. But the Hays County Sheriff’s Office said it will not release the footage — or any additional information related to the investigation — until the investigation is over, according to a statement on Jan. 6.

Hays County officially has several newly or re-elected officials across its various offices.
