The Wimberley Texan football team clinched their third consecutive district championship with a 34-22 victory over the Lago Vista Vikings.

For the second time in three years, the Wimberley High School Team Tennis squad has advanced to the UIL 4A state tournament.

The Wimberley Texans packed their bags last week and headed out of town to take their undefeated record on the road against their strongest rival the Navarro Panthers.

Wimberley High School was perfect for the week as the Lady Texans defeated both the Cuero Lady Gobblers and Navarro Panthers to wrap up the second seed in the district standings.

Following a tough loss to Davenport, The Lady Texans Volleyball team came out without missing a beat sweeping both Bandera and Boerne in straight sets.

It didn’t take long for the Wimberley Texans to take control of the game versus the Manor New Tech Titans.

Greeted by perfect fall weather, Story-Fest 2023 kicked off with music, cowboy cuisine and campfire singing and storytelling this weekend at 7A Ranch’s Pioneer Town. A project of the Wimberley Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance, the three-day event drew in musicians, songwriters, storytellers, filmmakers, chefs, plein air painters and history enthusiasts to celebrate the story in all of its many forms.

Last Friday’s game between the Wimberley Texans and the Jarrell Cougars started off with a bang. The Cougars struck first on a huge touchdown play just seconds into the ball game to go up 7-0. They also scored the last touchdown of the ball game. Everything in between was Texan football at its finest.

In the start of the second round of district play, the Wimberley Lady Texans swept the rival Fredericksburg Lady Billies 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-19).
