Last month, the Wimberley Lions Club installed their new president and board members. The new president, Frank “Lion Boss” Curtis, will serve from 2023 through the end of June 2024.

Local water utility company Aqua Texas was fined nearly half a million dollars for pumping almost twice the amount of water it was allowed last year out of the Trinity Aquifer. The company is now contesting that fine.

Wimberley’s Leaning Pear Restaurant will break ground this fall on an expansion of their bar, patio and parking area.

On Saturday morning, the seventeenth annual Back to School Fiesta at the Barnabas Connection kicked off in Wimberley. More than 458 backpacks filled with school supplies awaited students who had pre-registered for the event. In addition to the school supplies, 16 community organizations provided services and resources to the students and their families.
