Nearly 500 Wimberley ISD students will start the new school year with the supplies needed thanks to the Back to School Fiesta, which is put together by local nonprofit Barnabas connection.

The beginning of life wasn’t great for Rufus, but now he’s surrounded by people who care and things are looking up. In the short time he’s been at WAG, he has learned to relax around other dogs and even play a little. Rufus is house trained and is learning basic commands like sit. He’s very smart and loyal. Now he just needs to find a loving and secure home. Rufus is a hound mix weighing 66 pounds and is five years old. Two articles in your latest edition should not be passed over lightly: 1. Congratulations to View Editor Dalton Sweat and other staffers for winning several statewide journalism awards including first place in General Excellence from the Texas Press Association. Back to School Fiesta The Back to School Fiesta by Barnabas Connection will provide back to school supplies to those in need. The Fiesta starts at 8 a.m. on August 13 and runs through 10:30 a.m. at the Barnabas Connection office (former Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.)
