Two central Texas aquatic species have avoided listing on the Endangered Species Act: the Texas Troglobitic Water Slater– a small subterranean crustacean that lives deep within the Edwards Aquifer in Hays County and the Mimic Cavesnail–a small freshwater snail that lives in the Edwards Aquifer in Bexar County.

The Texas Broadband Development Office, operated by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, is soliciting input from the public on the new Texas Digital Opportunity Plan. The plan outlines how these entities will connect the Lone Star State for a brighter future by making it easier for all Texans to access and use the internet. Tax Assessor expects statements ready by the end of the year

Tennyson Moreno announced his campaign for State Representative House District 45 last week. In August, Tennyson announced his bid for a local County Commissioner seat, but when it was clear that race would have several qualified candidates, Tennyson made the bold decision to switch races.

The Wimberley Education Foundation has funded a grant proposal for a wellness program for Wimberley Independent School District employees.

The Wimberley View office at 101 FM 3237 has been making changes. We would like to thank our customers for their patience during our renovations and to apologize for any inconvenience they have experienced. Our office is now through the building’s south door, just left of our former entrance. Starting Monday, December 18, our hours will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
