SARA LOU PIPKIN

Sara Lou Pipkin, 92, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024. Slie was born in Texarkana, AR on June 15, 1931 to Louise Collins Moore and Sterling Emory Moore.

Sara Lou grew up in Crafton, PA until she was 16 year's old. Then, the family moved to Conroe, TX. After graduating from Conroe High School, Sara Lou went on to attend Southern Methodist University.

While attending SMU, she was a member of Mu Phi Epsilon, a music Fraternity.

She was also a member of Chi Omega Sorority.

It was at SMU where she met the love of her life, Charles. They were married in t953 and were married for 70 year’s. They had four children, Charles Stuart Pipkin, III, Patti Louise Pipkin, John Emory Pipkin, and Andrew Gainer Pipkin.

Sara Lou was a member of Chapel in the Hills and Calder Baptist Church.

She also enjoyed memberships in the Junior League of Beaumont, the Dental Auxiliary, the Beaumont Heritage Society, the Houston Baptist University Guild, and the Wimberley She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Stuart Pipkin, Jr. of Wimberley, TX. Sara Lou is also survived by her four children, Charles Stuart Pipkin, III (Karen) of Bergheim, TX, Patti Louise Pipkin of Wimberley, TX, John Emory Pipkin (Susie) of Cypress, TX, and Andrew Gainer Pipkin (Kellie) of Canyon Lake, TX; Grandchildren Chase Pipkin of Boerne, TX, Kyle Pipkin of Greenville, NC, Spencer Hood of Wimberley, TX, Emory Pipkin of Cypress, TX, Bethany Pipkin of Cypress, TX, Drew Pipkin of Savannah, GA, Maddie Pipkin of College Station, TX, Reese Pipkin of Canyon Lake, TX, and Cade Pipkin of Canyon Lake, TX. Sara Lou is also survived by her brother, Sterling Moore (Kaye) of Wylie, TX and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Sara Lou will be held at Chapel in the Hills, 14601 Ranch Rd 12, Wimberley, TX 78676 011 Saturday, May 18,2024, at 11:00a.m.

A reception will follow the sendee.
