Letters of Support

We have made much progress in Woodcreek over the past year thanks to a newly involved citizenry and hard-working committees, boards, commissions and the City Council. We need to continue meeting the needs of our citizens by electing three deeply involved and forward thinking neighbors to the Woodcreek City Council November 8.

Linnea Bailey is a former Woodcreek City Secretary and has led the Platinum Panel on Woodcreek Roads since the group formed. Our citizens want our roads fixed, and she and her team are on it! Besides having practical experience working for a paving company, Linnea is a trained accountant and will be a tremendous help keeping an eye on our financial resources.

Chrys Grummert has served on the City Council for the past year and spearheaded the Brookmeadow overlay ordinance limiting new development there to one acre at minimum, as well as a $30,000 property tax exemption for seniors and the disabled. No stranger to city business, he has been active on committees and task forces for years.

Joe Kotarba is professor of Sociology at Texas State University, and serves on the City Council. Before being promoted to the Council earlier this year to fill an unexpected vacancy, he had been chair of the ever important Planning & Zoning Commission, where he has served for several years.

All three of these candidates share a vision for Woodcreek’s future in concert with the expressed needs of our citizens through the comprehensive planning process – good and safe roads, pedestrian safety, and maintaining Woodcreek’s beauty and unique character. In my opinion, the opposing candidates have no vision forward, only back to earlier times.

Let’s reward Woodcreek, and candidates Bailey, Grummert, and Kotarba with two year terms on our Council!

Jeff Rasco, Mayor
