Woodcreek is not a city divided! Whether you are a young family just starting out or a retired couple enjoying life, we all want the same things: a city that is safe, an environment that displays our natural beauty, and a local government that is financially responsible and which also listens to the people. There is one man running for Woodcreek Council that has already worked for these issues: Chrys Grummert. For safety, Chrys voted for a Safe Driving program that involves the Hays County Sheriff’s department in protecting our Homes and Children, a program that will be monitored and expanded as needed to make sure you and yours are safe. To preserve our city’s natural beauty, Chrys pushed for a Tree Board to protect the natural beauty of the city and to expand and improve our Parks. Further, he worked to fix roads and provide sensible funding for this project. Which brings me to being financially responsible; Chrys authored a Special Exemption to lower taxes specifically for Senior Citizens and the Disabled and he voted to lower our taxes and conserve city spending. Finally, Chrys listens to the people. When the previous Council ignored over 90% of the Brookmeadow residents and attempted to install a hideous development that would have destroyed the tranquil neighborhood and depleted water tables further, Chrys helped the property owners in opposing it and later when he was appointed to the Council by Mayor Rasco, he created zoning protections for Brookmeadow. He would do the same for any Woodcreek neighborhood in support of the property owners because he will listen to you. That is why my wife, and I will be voting for Chrys Grummert for Woodcreek city Council.
