Two lives were lost in a fatal car crash Saturday night on Ranch Road 12.
Trey Lentschke, 26, of Austin, and Amelia Ybarra, 31, of Austin, were both killed in the crash.
According to local reports, the incident occurred about three miles north of Wimberley just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, January 22.
A 2011 Toyota Tundra was traveling south on Ranch Road 12 when it began to drive off the road, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. When the Toyota re-entered the roadway, it continued across the double yellow center strip and struck a 1997 Suzuki Sidekick that was traveling in the opposite direction. The driver and the passenger of the Suzuki were both pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Andrew Cable.
The name nor the condition of the driver of the Toyota has been released as of the time of press.
