Join us to learn all about the fascinating lives of arachnids, how we can play a part in ensuring they are around to eat the insects we do not like and engage in a spider match activity! Best Bud’s Program Wimberley Best Bud is a mentor program for all Wimberley kids. They have been serving the community since 2016 by providing volunteer mentors to meet with individual children on the WISD campuses for 30 mins each week. This gift of devoted time to one or more children helps improve a child’s confidence and outlook. They believe what best-selling author and motivational speaker Josh Shipp has stated, “every child is one caring adult away from being a success story.” Anyone who would like to hear more about the program and how to volunteer can join them at the Wimberley Library Multi-Purpose Room at 11:30 a.m. on September 29 or contact Courtenay Kehl at [email protected].
