Earlier this month Keep Wimberley Beautiful distributed We Care decals to the following local businesses in recognition of the extra consideration they have given to the upkeep of their property.
7A Ranch, Alexis Pointe Senior Living, Bent Tree Gallery, Blanco Brew, Candy Cottage, Cedar Chest, Ceremony Botanical, Community Pizza, Creekhouse Kitchen and Bar, Creekside Vintage, Cypress Creek Coffee, Cypress Creek Lavender, Eagle Mountain Flags, Gold Dust Boutique, HEB, Hill Country Collectable, Kiss the Cook, Leaning Pear, Libellula, Los Olivos, Marcos, My Happy Place, Ozona Bank, Pitzer Fine Art, Senior Citizen Craft Shop, Social on the Square, Sonora Bank, Texas Regional Bank, The Farmloft, The Wildflower, Thompson Funeral Home, and Wimberley EMS “We Care” sunflower decals were given to each of these businesses as a way to recognize and say thank you for all their hard work making their exteriors and outdoor spaces attractive. Their pride in ownership has a ripple effect and inspires other businesses to maintain well-kept properties as well.
KWB thanks all “We Care” award winners for doing their part to make Wimberley a beautiful place to live, work and play. Together, “We Care”. It required extra vigilance to keep plants looking attractive during the high heat and lack of rain earlier this summer.
I have noticed that many of these establishments have used plants in containers to provide color and interest. It is easier to provide moisture to plants in containers. Among the current blooming plants found in containers around town are Plumbago, Firecracker Plant, Begonias, Moss Roses, Periwinkles, Hibiscus, Mandevillas, and Bougainvillea.
Now you know what the sunflower We Care decal signifies.
