Beginning Monday, August 1, applications are being accepted for Wimberley ISD students to receive free or reduced-price meals during the 2022-23 school year.
The following criteria will be used to determine a child’s eligibility for free or reduced-price meal benefits. They must meet at least one of the following:
• Household income that is at or below the income eligibility levels
• Household receives Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservation (FDPIR) • Child’s status as a foster child, homeless, runaway, migrant, or displaced by a declared disaster
• Child’s enrollment in Head Start or Even Start For those households that qualify for free or reduced- price meals based on income, an adult in the household must fill out the free and reduced- price meal application. The quickest way to process the application is by completing the online version available once you log in to the school’s Titan student meal account online. The application link can be found in the left menu bar both on a desktop computer or mobile device.
Paper copies are also available at the WISD Admin building and all four campuses. In addition, you can print copies from the website in both English and Spanish here: https://www.wimberleyisd. net/Page/776. If your family and/ or student qualifies through one of the other categories listed above, WISD will notify your household and you do not need to complete an application.
Applications may be submitted anytime during the school year. If you have any questions about the free or reduced-price program, please contact WISD Child Nutrition Director Heather Baldwin at (512)847-2414 ext. 7208 or [email protected].
