The Wimberley High School Band received a Superior rating from all three stage judges as well as the three sight reading judges in the Region 18 UIL Concert and Sight Reading contest on April 13. Along with the division 1 ratings from the UIL Marching contest earlier in the year, all UIL judges the Texans performed in front of this year gave them a superior rating.
On April 20, the Katherine Anne Porter School Advanced Guitar class, under the direction of Jay Myers, competed at the Austin ISD’s Classical Guitar Ensemble Concert & Sight Reading Contest. The group received superior ratings from all judges in both concert and sight reading competition for a perfect score.
