Wimberley Area Cancer Support Group Final Meeting
If you have experienced the diagnosis of cancer now or in the past, we invite you to meet with the Cancer Support Group, sponsored by St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, to talk and relax with others who share your experiences. The groups final meeting will be held on May 11 in the Chamber of Commerce members’ room, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

WAG Rescue Dog Adoption Day
WAG Rescue is having a dog adoption day on Saturday, May 14th from 10 a.m. until noon in the grassy area between King Feed and Brookshire Brothers. Come meet some of our precious adoptable dogs. You may find your new best friend!
KAPS Barn Dance
The community is invited on Sunday, May 15 to join the Katherine Anne Porter School for an old-fashioned Barn Dance at Montesino Ranch to benefit KAPS, featuring live Western Swing from Big Cedar Fever, plus a silent auction, drinks and more. Library Expansion and Renovation Project Open House
The Wimberley Village Library will hold an open house on May 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to show off the new library expansion and renovation plans.
StoryCircle Women’s Writing Group
Sharon Spector will host the StoryCircle Women’s Writing Group, an outdoor event, at the Wimberley Village Library on May 18 at noon. No prior writing experience needed.
Hill Country Community Band “Faraway Places”
The Hill Country Community Band will present a concert of music from “Faraway Places” on Saturday, May 21st, 2 p.m. at the Wimberley First Baptist Church. Featured soloist is Luellyn Dollard, a 21-year veteran of the US Navy Band. The concert is free to all!
The Cover of Life at the Wimberley Players
The cover of life by R. T. Robinson April 29 – May 22, Tood, Weetsie, and Sybil are all brides in rural Louisiana in 1943. Each married a Cliffert brother. Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride for men’s health
The British Motorcycle Enthusiasts Group of Wimberley, BMEG (pronounced Bee Meg) is sponsoring this year’s Ride To Wimberley part of the worldwide “Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride for men’s health”. The BMEG’s “Ride To Wimberley” generates funds and awareness of men’s prostate and mental health and is open to all riders of classic motorcycles who ride dapper in gentlemanly attire. ” Event will start Sunday, May 22 in San Marcos and end with a ride around the Wimberley Town Square.
Dog Training 101
Sarah Bond will host Dog Training 101 at the Wimberley Village Library on May 25 at noon. Learn the basics using effective, force-free, reward-based methods.

Rustic Moon Bookshop: The Writing Life Book Club

Wimberley Valley Museum
There are new hours for the Winters-Wimberley House/Wimberley Valley Museum. It will be open on the first weekend of month (Market Days Weekend) with docents Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. starting June 4 and 5.
VFW Bingo

Adult Craft LAB with Wimberley Library
Adult Craft LAB is a year-round tinker and craft program for adults 18+. Classes are held virtually via Zoom. Class times: Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Class limit of 10 on a fist come, first-served basis. Supply kits are free and included with each class. Supply kits are available inside the library in the craft area Monday-Wednesday 1-6.
