The Green Team at Wimberley United Methodist Church is holding an Earth Day Celebration on April 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the church grounds, fondly known as The Patch where pumpkins are sold each Halloween.
At the celebration, there will be booths from the Hays County Master Naturalists, Keep Wimberley Beautiful, The Wimberley Refillery, Native American Seed, native plant ideas, Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District and the Watershed Association. Included are nature games and face painting for kids as well as an opportunity to purchase a 50 gallon rainwater tank for adults.
Wimberley UMC established the Green Team in September 2024, to care for the earth, raise awareness about the plight of our planet, educate our community about conservation practices, and to teach others how land use affects our neighbors downstream.
Wimberley United Methodist Church is located at RR12 and CR 1492. The family- friendly event is free to attend.
