The City of Wimberley is rolling out a free town shuttle on April 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to support two community events — the Wimberley Pie Social, held at the Community Center and the Wimberley Arts Fest, held at Waters Point.
With both events expected to draw large crowds, the shuttle will provide an easy and convenient way for residents and visitors to move around town without worrying about parking or traffic. Six stops will be available along the route, including one at the Watershed Association parking lot near Blue Hole Regional Park. “This is a great opportunity to test what a weekend shuttle system could look like in Wimberley,” said Michele Woods, Director of Tourism. “As our events and visitor numbers grow, we’re looking for creative solutions to make it easier for people to enjoy everything Wimberley has to offer.”
The April 26 shuttle pilot run is a collaborative effort between the City of Wimberley, the Department of Tourism, local event organizers and Wimberley Shuttle. Shuttle information and stop locations will be available soon on Visit78676. com and social media channels.
