John Estepp, a retired, Texas-licensed professional geoscientist will present a talk, “Protection of Groundwater in the Wimberley Valley,” on April 24 at Wimberley Presbyterian Church, 956 FM2325, in Wimberley to the Texas Retired Teachers Association’s Blanco County Association of Retired Educators. Estepp worked as a groundwater protection geologist with the State of Texas for 31 years, from 1987 to 2018. He is the author of two groundwater quality manuals used by the Texas Water Development Board, Railroad Commission of Texas and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
The program begins at 10:30 a.m., coffee and visiting is at 9:30, and a business meeting starts at 10. TRTA/ BCARE supports public school retirees. The Texas Retired Teachers Association has 240 chapters in the state of Texas.
BCARE supports working teachers in Blanco ISD, Johnson City ISD and Wimberley ISD. Members come from Blanco, Johnson City, Driftwood, Dripping Springs and Wimberley. The group meets four times a year.
