The Second Annual Wimberley Film Festival unspools next weekend at Blue Hole Regional Park from 6 to 10 p.m. on the Blue Hole swim lawn.
Once again, Wimberley Parks and Recreation has teamed up with Netta Lou Creative to curate a unique festival of documentaries and experimental works that highlights Texas-made short films. Some films may be rated PG-13.
There will be musical performances by the feisty, Chicago-based “Elizabeth Moen” and the Texas band, “All My Groovy Friends.”
Bring swimsuits and towels to swim Blue Hole, blankets and lawn chairs. There will be food and other local vendors to browse at the family- fun event.
All proceeds benefit The Watershed Association, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring clean water and a healthy ecosystem, both critical to the future of the Wimberley Valley. The festival also supports the Art4Water program and conservation efforts in Central Texas. Advance tickets are $15; ticket price increases to $20 on April 1st, and day-of tickets are $25.
