The Lady Texans took home the Bi-District championship last week, beating the Lago Vista Vikings 5-0.

The win improves Wimberley’s record to 20-1-2 overall and advances the Lady Texans into the Area round.

Junior Lili Sandoval completed the hat-trick for the Lady Texans with three goals and one assist. Sophomore Dylan Watson and senior Haley Lopez both scored one goal apiece. Junior Jordin Donaldson had two assists for the Lady Texans while sophomore Gwyneth Lerma and freshman Abby Durkin both had one assist each.

Wimberley moves on the Area round of the playoffs where they will face-off with a familiar foe in the Pleasanton Eagles. The Eagles enter the game with a 13-6-2 record, having won the district title in District 28.

Both Wimberley and Pleasanton met in the season opener for both teams with the Lady Texans thumping the Eagles 8-0.
