A Thank You luncheon for area emergency responders and staff will be held behind the Hays County Pct 3 Annex, 200 Stillwater Rd., from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Hosted by the Knights Of Columbus 4th Degree at St. Mary Catholic Church, the lunch honors the Hays County Sheriff’s Department, Precinct 3 Constable and Deputies, the Fire Department, EMS staff, Hays County Emergency Services, the Fire Marshal, Texas Highway Patrol Troopers, the Justice of the Peace and staff, the Hays County Precinct 3 Annex Staff, Barnabas Connection, My Neighbors Keeper and the emergency staff and Community Emergency Services of the cities of Wimberley and Woodcreek. Emergency Staff & Community Emergency Services Eat on site or return to duty. Lunch will be served in to-go boxes.

Wimberley’s new welcome center, 280 Old Kyle Rd., invites the public to visit, 4 to 6 p.m., for their grand opening and ribbon cutting. Explore the handsome new space. Complimentary refreshments and live music. Ribbon cutting at 5 p.m.

The Starlight Symphony Orchestra will showcase the talents of their 2025 Young Artists, Joshua Henselman and Ethan Cheng, featuring works by Mozart, von Suppe, Liszt, and Sarasate. The first performance, March 15, is at Huston Tillotson University, 900 Chicon St., Austin, 7 p.m. On March 16 they will perform at Wimberley First Baptist Church, 15951 Winters Mill Pkwy, Wimberley, at 4 p.m. Free to attend. Willow Lake Art Market, at the Willow Lake Water Hole, 110 Old Kyle Rd., noon to 5 p.m. Shop the work of more than twenty artists and vendors and enjoy live music by Rose Gabriel’s Songwriter Showdown. Local artist Igor Babkin’s original painting for the event’s promotional materials, currently on display at Willow Lake, will be auctioned by KWVH’s “Coach” towards the end of the event. There is no cost to attend.

The Wimberley Lions Club invites the public to their monthly meeting at the Community Center, 14068 RR12, 5:30 p.m. to hear guests Dr. Greg Bonewald, WISD Superintendent, and Stephen Mabry, CEO of Texas Lions Camp. Dr. Bonewald will talk about the upcoming Wimberley ISD school bond and Mr. Mabry will talk about the 2025 Texas Lions Camp that serves families with special children. Doors open at 5 p.m. No cost to attend.

“Bee Friendly Trails,” is the topic of The Hill Country Unit of the Herb Society of America’s presentation, at Emily Ann Theater and Gardens’ meeting space, 1101 FM 2325, at 10 a.m.
Managers of the “Honey I’m Home” apiary, JR Jones and Cindy Bruchmiller, will present the program.
Visitors are welcome to attend. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for socializing and herbal treats.

“Time For Tea,” a first British high tea event from the Civic Club, at the historic Price Center and Gardens, 222 W. San Antonio St, San Marcos, 3 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $50 and available at wimberleyccc.org.
