The year 2025 marks the tenth anniversary of the devastating Memorial Day floods that forever changed Wimberley. The year also marks a decade since KWVH first took to the airwaves, initially as a vital source of emergency information during one of the community’s darkest moments. Over the years, KWVH has grown into more than just a lifeline in times of crisis. It has evolved into a hub for local culture, entertainment and community pride.
To commemorate the milestone, KWVH is inviting local artists to participate in a unique competition to design a graphic for a limited edition run of anniversary t-shirts and posters. This contest is open to everyone and the winning design will help celebrate the station’s deep connection to Wimberley.
A panel of five jurors will review all the submitted works and select a winner. The jurors will represent KWVH 94.3 FM, Project Art Wimberley, the Wimberley Valley Art League, WimberleyArts.org and the Wimberley Independent School District. A limited edition of T-shirts and posters with the winning design will be available for public purchase later this spring.
The deadline for sub- mission is March 15, and the winner will be announced on April 1. A $300 cash will be awarded. The winning artist’s design will be featured on official KWVH anniversary merchandise, with additional recognition on air and online.
