The push for the playoffs continued for both the Texans and the Lady Texan soccer teams, who battled the cold weather conditions that shortened both teams’ gameweeks.
The Lady Texans were on the road at Bandera in a showdown with the Bulldogs.
It was a dominating win for Wimberley who defeated Bandera 9-1.
Junior Lili Sandoval completed the hat-trick, scoring a game high three goals. Sophomore Dylan Watson was second in scoring with two goals senior Addison Laney, senior Haley Lopez, freshman Emily Durkin and freshman Abby Durkin all scored one goal apiece.
Senior Sydney Laney allowed no goals for the Lady Texans in the start.
The Lady Texans return home Tuesday night against Fredericksburg before going on the Marble Falls to start the second of district play.
The Texans were back home last Tuesday going up against the Bandera.
Wimberley was unable to come away with the win, falling to the Bulldogs 3-1.
Sophomore Bo Hollmon scored his first career goal for the Texans in the game.
The Texans are back on the road Tuesday against Fredericksburg before returning home Friday night to start the second round of district play against Marble Falls.
