Pedernales Electric Cooperative scholarship applications became available February 3 for high school seniors graduating from public, private or homeschooled education and for adults seeking to further their education.
This year the Cooperative will award $100,000 in scholarships. Applicants must either be PEC members in good standing or graduating seniors with a parent or guardian who is a PEC member in good standing.
The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on March 12.
“Receiving a scholarship from PEC has been a life-changing gift, helping to lift the financial burden of my education and allowing me to focus wholeheartedly on my studies and personal growth,” said 2024 PEC scholarship recipient Kambell Stewart of Marble Falls. She is currently studying at Texas A&M.
Scholarships to students in the Wimberley service area are funded by unclaimed property returned to PEC by the state. To learn more and to apply, go to myPEC. com/scholarships.
