Perfumes, potions and plant aphrodisiacs

The Hill Country Unit of the Herb Society of America will present a multisensory presentation, “Perfumes, Potions and other Plant Aphrodisiacs: The Science and Chicanery of Aromatherapy” February 19 in the meeting space of EmilyAnn Theater and Gardens at 10 a.m.

Speaking will be Molly Ogorzaly, PhD, who has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, a master’s in botany, and a PhD in science education, is a published author and illustrator who spearheaded the “Get Growing Symposium” for area educators that led to the creation of teaching gardens across the community.

While Ogorzaly served as Director of Education at Zilker Botanical Gardens, she developed the Plantmobile, a traveling science museum that featured programs on topics such as trees, butterflies and supermarket botany.

Visitors are welcome to attend. EmilyAnn Theater and Gardens is located at 1101 FM2325. Herbal treats and social time begins at 9:30 a.m. and the program starts at 10.
