Both the Texans and the Lady Texans started district play this week as both teams begin the chase for their respective district championships and playoff hunts.
The Lady Texans were back home at Texan Stadium in their district opener against the Marble Falls Mustangs.
Wimberley put together a dominating performance, beating the Mustangs 5-0.
Sophomore Dylan Watson completed the hat-trick for the Lady Texans, scoring three goals. Junior Lili Sandoval and freshman Abby Durkin both scored a goal apiece.
Senior Ella Sandoval, junior Jordin Donaldson and Cameron Thames all earned assists.
The Lady Texans will be back on the road Tuesday against Davenport in a showdown between the two top teams in the district before being back home against rival Canyon Lake. Both games start at 7 p.m.
