“Reclaimed,” a juried exhibition of works from 13 artists on the theme of reclamation is on display at ARTSPACE gallery, 111 River Rd. #100, Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Artists include Elaine Bradford, Deanna Carrillo, Thomas Cook, Jonas Criscoe, Chrys Grummert, Roberto Jackson Harrington, Lindsey Hurd, Jay Jones, Alexander Kamelhair, John Mulvany, Gisette Padilla, Doerte Weber, and Jenn Wilson Shepherd.

February 8

The Civic Club presents Wimberley’s Got Soul: A Night of Rhythm, Groove, and Good Times at the Wimberley Community Center, 7 to 10 p.m. Live music from 5 O’Clock Somewhere, the Hill Country Honeys and the Austin Horns. Dancing.

February 11

The San Marcos Area Retired Teachers and Staff, SMARTS, will hold a meeting at Stone Brook Active Adult Living Arts, 300 S. Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos, TX, at 11:30 a.m. Lori McDonald will present the “4 Components of a Healthy Body.” A raffle to benefit the scholarship fund is part of the event. A Valentine’s Day Gala with dinner and dancing will be held at the Wimberley Community Center, 14068 RR12, from 7 to 10 p.m. for sweethearts 21 and older. Live music from the band “5 O’clock Somewhere” will play cupid-inspired tunes. Tickets are $40 per person and available at wimberleyparksandrec. com or by sending an email to Wimberley Parks and Rec at [email protected]. Deadline to purchase tickets with dinner is February 7. Walkin tickets will be available the day of the event, but will not include dinner.

A Murder Most Foul: A “Til Death Do Us Part” Valentine’s Mystery Dinner, Wimberley Valley Winery, 2825 Lone Man Mountain Rd, Driftwood, 7 p.m. An evening of mystery, intrigue and romance awaits ticketholders in a “Wedding Gone Wrong” themed murder mystery dinner. A glass of Prosecco is included along with a three-course dinner, one glass of wine or beer for two and gratuity for the $199 per person ticket price. Wedding attire is requested. “That’s Amore,” Central Texas Theatre Academy’s fifth annual fundraiser, will be held at the CTTA academy, 12111 RR12, in Plaza Del Sol, from 7 to 9 p.m. A performance of love songs and skits, coupled with a threecourse Italian dinner and silent auction, is a sweet way to celebrate Cupid. Tickets are $70 per couple and available at centextheatre.org.

The Wimberley Valley Big Band will hold a Sweetheart Mardi Gras Concert and Dance at the VFW Post #6441, 401 Jacobs Well Rd., from 7 to 9 p.m. Free.

42 Players meet Tuesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon at the Wimberley Senior Citizens Center. Partners not necessary. A $1 donation supports coffee and snacks.

Super Dimension’s Board Game event takes place the third Saturday of the month at the Community Center, 14068 RR12, from noon until 7 p.m. Free.

The Hill Country Unit of the Herb Society of America meets the third Wednesday of the month at the Wimberley Village Library, 400 FM 2325 and features guest speakers, educational programs, and hands-on activities that promote the use of herbs for health, cooking or home care.

Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group meets the first Thursday in the Presbyterian Church Library, 956 FM 2325, 12:45 to 2 p.m. For caregivers who are caring for a loved one with dementia.
