Registration for projectART Summer Camps that focus on art, music and STEM, or Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, activities begins February 1.
Geared toward kindergarten through grade 8 students, the camps are organized into eight, one-week small group sessions that meet Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Creative, handson and interactive art classes for the summer session include painting, drawing, printmaking, claymation, ukelele, textiles, ceramics and STEM-related activities. Camp weeks take place June through the first week in August.
• June 2 - 6: Grades K-1: Art in Nature
• June 9 - 13: Grades 4-6: Art + Ukulele
• June 16 - 20: Grades 2-4: Art + Science • June 23 - 27: Grades 5-7: Art + Textiles • June 30 - July 3: Kindergarten Art in Nature
• July 7th - 11 : Grades 2-4: Art + Claymation • July 14 - 18: Grades 1-3: Art in Science + Ceramics
• July 21 - 25 : Grades 3-5: Art + Claymation
• July 28 - Aug 1: Grades 1-2: Art in Science + Ceramics
•August 4 - 8: Grades 4 -6: Ceramics, Printmaking + Improv Teen volunteer opportunities are available.
The cost to attend ranges between $245 to $375 plus an additional $25 for materials for the weeklong sessions. Sustaining pARTners receive 50% off tuition and full and partial tuition assistance is available to families experiencing hardship.
