The Grant Committee of the Wimberley Community Civic Club announced that 2025 grant applications from Wimberley community non-profit organizations will be accepted from March 1 to 18, 2025. Each year the Wimberley Community Civic Club awards funding to local nonprofit organizations serving the Wimberley 78676 zip code.
The grant application is an online, easy to complete, Google form. For information about guidelines and required documentation, nonprofits are encouraged to check out the Grants section of the Civic Club’s website at wimberleyccc. org/grants. Grant guidelines will be posted by the end of January.
Civic Club members, currently numbering 181, come together each year to raise funds by hosting events throughout the year. Funds provide scholarships for Wimberley High School, KAPS, and homeschooled seniors to attend college or trade school, and grants to support nonprofit organizations that serve Wimberley.
In 2024, the Civic Club provided a combined total of $26,900 in scholarships to nine students and $40,100 in grants to 28 local nonprofit organizations.
Grant awardees in 2025 will be notified in April and asked to attend the May Civic Club General Meeting to accept their award checks.
“Attending a Civic Club event is an excellent way for individuals to support the needs of the Wimberley community, have fun, and meet new people at the same time,” said Civic Club President Becky Williams.
Events in early 2025 include the Comedy and Magic Dinner Theater January 25, Wimberley’s Got Soul Concert with the Hill Country Honeys February 8, a private screening of a Rom Com Action Film, “Charlie’s Angels,” February 18 and the popular Trivia Night March 8.
The long running Wimberley Home Tour will take place April 11 and 12, and the new Tablescapes Show and Happy Hour is planned for April 30. More Spring Events were announced last week. To sign up for events visit wimberleyccc.org/ events.
