An after-dark fire of downed tree limbs prompted calls to 911 last Thursday. A Wimberley fire engine was dispatched at 7:10 p.m. to investigate the blaze. Two large heaps of downed tree limbs could be observed burning on the north side of RR12 and Stillwater.
According to Assistant Fire Chief, Chris Robbins, the blazes were extinguished by the fire crew and there was no threat to life or property. The crew reminded the property owner that fires are to be completed one hour prior to sunset.
