December 6, 7 and 8 “Peace on Earth” holiday concerts performed by the Wimberley Community Chorus, Friday and Saturday 7 p.m., Sunday 3 p.m. at Chapel in the Hills, 14601 RR12, Avey Hall.

A house concert at Old Glory Ranch, 3633 River Road, is part of the Hometown Holidays adventure. A suggested $30 cash donation goes directly to musicians. A small cooler and BYOB allowed.

Life Line Screenings take place at the Wimberley Community Center, 14068 RR12 in Wimberley. Screenings can check for plaque build up in arteries, HDL and LDL cholesterol levels, risk of diabetes, kidney and thyroid functions and other conditions. Nearly 500 vendors on 20 acres selling art, crafts, antiques, collectibles, vintage, home décor, apparel, baby items, home items, pottery, jewelry, plants and garden items, candles, specialty foods, baskets, furniture, cowhides and many more items.

San Marcos Area Retired Teachers and Staff (SMART), 11:30 a.m., Stone Brook Active Adult Living Apts., 300 Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos. Program includes Hays CISD Fuentes Elementary School Choir, TX State Fall Scholarship Recipient and lunch.
Raffle tickets will be sold for a door prize and a white elephant gift exchange will take place. To participate, bring a $5 or more ornament.
