Is It Just Me?

I have been wanting a coat rack and finally found a used one for $5. What a bargain! I did see a photo of it and it looked like it was made from a Victorian porch post. I love things that are hand made. It did have a solar light on the top since it was used outside. No problem, an easy fix.
Now, when I tell someone that I will purchase an item, I always follow through. It was not exactly what I was looking for, but it was only $5. I met them in a parking lot and the nice man carried the heavy coat rack to my car. It was tight, but we got it in. I noticed that one of the legs was missing and he said they just spiked a nail through the base to stand it up. I did not want to use it outside, so that nail spike wouldn’t work in my house.
I can fix that. I headed to the hardware store to find a finial to replace the solar light. It was $9.99 (plus tax) Still a bargain. When I got it home, it leaned to one side since one of the legs was missing. I looked online to find a replacement leg. Unfortunately, they didn’t sell just one, so I bought a package of three. When they came, they were not big enough. They were only $12.99 so I kept them in case I might need them in the future. I found a larger set — three in the package again. These cost me $19.99, but they looked like they would work. Now I needed to find paint to re-paint the bargain coat rack, so all of the pieces would match.
Would I need two or three cans? I was starting to get low on cash, so I decided to hold off on the paint and put the disassembled coat rack in my shed until my next paycheck. For now, I will just screw a couple of hooks in the wall to hang my coats.
