Wimberley’s Jobell Cafe & Bistro subject of national media segment
America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the Jobell restaurant on December 6. The independently-owned restaurant was selected for the segment based on their customer reviews, menu items, social media presence, and level of involvement with the community.
Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owners David and Jessenia Bober about the restaurant’s special place in the community.
Named after the couple’s children, Joshua and Isabella, the eatery places an emphasis on not just locally-sourced ingredients and attention to detail but also their goal of providing a gathering space for people to connect and come together.
According to their website, the Bober’s explain their intention for opening Jobell, “What drew us to choose this as a career was to provide a space, a context, for conviviality.” They went on to write, “The sharing of stories and special moments over good food and wine, the face-to-face exchanges that bind us as human beings — that is what Jobell is and what we are so proud of.”
Jobell Cafe & Bistro is housed in a former home that the couple spent a year renovating before opening in 2014. The cozy, farmhouse- style interior has a stone fireplace, starburst light fixtures and a rustic patio surrounded by trees that blend the ambiance of the Texas Hill Country with the modern elegance of a New Yorkstyle bistro.
America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location on Friday December 6 from 2 pm to 5 pm. The restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on their Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website americasbestrestaurants. com/rests/texas/jobell- cafe-and-bistro.
