Preregistration for Life Line screenings for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other chronic, serious conditions are being set for December 7 at the Community Center, 14068 RR12 in Wimberley.

NFL Sunday and Monday Night game viewing at Square Inn’s Legacy Lounge, 110 Oak Dr., through the playoffs. Beer, wine and food available. Doors and back gate open at noon. Kids are welcome.

November 23

Hill Country Community Band performance of “Spanish Impressions,” at the Wimberley First Baptist Church, 15951 Winters Mill Parkway, 2 p.m.

Directed by Dr. Manual Arambula, the concert will feature the music of Spain by composers Chovi, Chabrier, Turina, Reed, and Seitz.

November 23

Creekhaven Inn & Spa’s “Friendsgiving” pop-up dinner, 6 p.m. at Creekhaven Inn, 400 Mill Race Rd. A four-course dinner with appetizer, salad, choice of main course and dessert will be served. Tickets are $80 per person and available online at shop.creekhaven. com. Seating limited to 20 reservations. Reservations and advanced payment are required to guarantee a seat. November 24

Willow Lake Art Market, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Willow Lake Watering Hole and Mercantile, 110 Old Kyle Rd. Thirty artists and Vendors, live music with Texas Island Band, 1 to 4 p.m., under the big pavilion. Face Painters, a caricature artist, activity tables for kids, a raffle with great prizes from Wimberley Zipline Adventures, Wimberley National Mini Golf, Wimberley Toy Company, Budaful Hiker/Monster Treats and others. Tacos by Un Mundo de Sabor.

November 24

Wimberley Community Thanksgiving Service, Chapel in the Hills, 4 p.m. in Avey Hall. The service will include a combined choir of Wimberley singers and musicians, scripture and Prayers of Thanksgiving. A pumpkin pie and coffee reception follows. Free-will offering benefits families through the Wimberley Community Assistance Fund distributed by Barnabas.

Wimberley Village Library closes at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Closed all day Thursday and Friday.

November 28

32nd Annual Wimberley Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the Community Center, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wimberley feasts together thanks to Dave Lewis and his volunteers. No charge.

WEEKLY EVENTS

42 Players meet Tuesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon at the Wimberley Senior Citizens Center. Partners not necessary.

A $1 donation supports coffee and snacks. Look for the Senior Center suite and entrance on the right side of the Wimberley Community Center.

The Hill Country Unit of the Herb Society of America meets the third Wednesday of the month at the Wimberley Village Library, 400 FM 2325 and features guest speakers, educational programs, and hands-on activities that promote the use of herbs for health, cooking or home care.
