Preregistration for Life Line screenings for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other chronic, serious conditions are being set for December 7 at the Community Center, 14068 RR12 in Wimberley.

Hill Country Community Band performance of “Spanish Impressions,” at the Wimberley First Baptist Church, 15951 Winters Mill Parkway, 2 p.m.
Directed by Dr. Manual Arambula, the concert will feature the music of Spain by composers Chovi, Chabrier, Turina, Reed, and Seitz.

Creekhaven Inn & Spa’s “Friendsgiving” pop-up dinner, 6 p.m. at Creekhaven Inn, 400 Mill Race Rd. A four-course dinner with appetizer, salad, choice of main course and dessert will be served. Wimberley Community Thanksgiving Service, Chapel in the Hills, 4 p.m. in Avey Hall. The service will include a combined choir of Wimberley singers and musicians, scripture and Prayers of Thanksgiving. A pumpkin pie and coffee reception follows. Free-will offering benefits families through the Wimberley Community Assistance Fund distributed by Barnabas.

32nd Annual Wimberley Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the Community Center, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wimberley feasts together thanks to Dave Lewis and his volunteers. No charge.
