Turkeys on 12 collect for Crisis Bread Basket

Turkeys on 12, a 22-year-long collaboration of Ozona Bank and Wimberley Crisis Bread Basket, will be asking for donations during the month of November by volunteers dressed in turkey costumes. Ozona will match any amount up to $5,000 that’s donated by local citizens during the drive. Donations go to Crisis Bread Basket, the pantry for local Wimberley residents. Established in 1986 to serve economically disadvantaged individuals and households in the area impacted by food insecurity, the WCCB provides weekly distributions of nutritious food, relying on volunteers and community donations. The nonprofit has no paid staff and receives no government funding.
