Wimberley punched their ticket to regionals, beating the Cuero Gobblers 3-0 [25-21, 25-13, 25-20].
The Texans advance to the regional tournament for the fourth time in the past five seasons and will look to punch their ticket to the state tournament this week.
In the Texans 3-0 win, senior Laney Hennessee led the team in kills with 16. The junior duo of Carson Peoples and Skylar Herring led the team in assists with 17 apiece.
On defense, senior Rhagen Masur led the team in digs with 13. Junior Cameron Thames and sophomore Skylar Mears led the team in blocks with three apiece.
Wimberley advances to the regional semifinals where they will face-off with the Sinton Pirates. The winner of the Wimberley- Sinton game will play the winner of the Navarro-Sweeny game in the regional final for a chance to play in the state semifinals.
Tip-off for Wimberley- Sinton will take place Tuesday before the Wimberley View time of press.
