The Chefs Dinner Fundraiser for Katherine Anne Porter School just added a familiar face. Linda Allen, whose restaurant Linda’s Fine Foods was located across the street from KAPS for years, has agreed to offer her cuisine for the fundraiser.
Also participating in this special community event are Jay Bachman of Wimberley Café, Chef James Francis and Chef Mark Grimes of Wimberley Supper Club, Chef Robert Walcyzk of Longleaf Craft Kitchen + Bar. Chill’s On the Creek, along with the Wimberley Supper Club, provides coffee and other libations.
The menu includes Linda Allen’s famous gumbo, pork tenderloin with green beans, shrimp n’ grits, and chicken ‘n rice. At $35 a plate, the evening of high-end dining is sure to sell out quickly, so plan to buy your tickets online in advance.
These local chefs are generously donating their time and ingredients to cook about 200 meals. In addition, Wimberley Baptist Church is donating kitchen space, where the chefs and KAPS culinary students will prepare the meal. All proceeds go to the Operation Support KAPS campaign.
