Grand Opening of the Seed Library, 11 a.m., Wimberley Library, 400 FM2325. A collaboration of Keep Wimberley Beautiful, the Native Plant Society and the Wimberley library, the event will explain the new service to the public.

Connect with a Wimberley Author, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Wimberley VillageLibrary. The public is invited to meet 32 local authors and learn about their work. There will be refreshments and a door prize.

Veterans Day Open House, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the VFW Post 6441, 401 Jacob’s Well Rd. A complimentary barbecue luncheon will be served and members of the Veterans Service and Assistance Organizations will be on hand to assist veterans, family members and survivors.

The Hill Country Unit of the Herb Society of America meets the third Wednesday of the month at the Wimberley Village Library, 400 FM 2325 and features guest speakers, educational programs, and hands-on activities that promote the use of herbs for health, cooking or home care.
