This November 5th, the future of Woodcreek and the entire Wimberley Valley is at stake. I wholeheartedly endorse Russell Scott, Chrys Grummert, and Linnea Bailey for Woodcreek City Council. They stand in stark contrast to their opponents— three former mayors who cling to outdated ideas and lack a vision for Woodcreek.
Russell, a dedicated member and leader on the Planning & Zoning Commission and Parks & Recreation Board, has also played a pivotal role in our community celebrations during this our 40th Anniversary year.
In his three years on Council, Chrys has successfully championed initiatives to protect our neighborhoods and secure funding for vital projects. His knowledge of state law governing the city, and the ordinances which govern our citizens has been invaluable.
Linnea brings valuable experience as a former City Secretary, focusing on our roads, finances, and senior programs.
Despite their invitation to collaborate, the former mayors have opted to criticize from the sidelines. They do not deserve seats on a council that is moving forward with dedication and hard work.
Additionally, we need Lindsey Deringer on the WISD Board of Trustees. With a decade of teaching experience and three children in WISD schools, she offers a much-needed perspective that is currently missing. Lindsey’s involvement on the WISD Safety Committee shows her commitment to our students’ well-being.
I strongly support Rebecca Minnick, current Wimberley Mayor Pro Tem, for Hays County Commissioner Pct. 3. Her pledge to work from offices in Wimberley instead of San Marcos and her focus on protecting our aquifers demonstrate her dedication to our community. She will bring experience and transparency to the Court.
Early voting runs from October 21 to November 1, with Election Day on November 5. Your vote matters!
