The Texans winning streak in 14-games this week as Wimberley swept both San Antonio Veterans Memorial 3-0 [25-16, 25-16, 25-14] and the Navarro Panthers 3-0 [25-18, 25-12, 2517].
The Texans have also won 22 sets in a row during their winning streak as Wimberley maintains their hold on the No. 1 ranking in Class 4A.
In their first game of the week, Wimberley hosted Veterans Memorial.
The Texans won the first set at 25-16 before winning the second also at 25-16.
Wimberley completed the sweep by winning the third set 25-14.
Junior Addison Parks led the team in kills with nine followed by senior Laney Hennesee and junior Lilli Sandoval with seven apiece. Junior Mariah Mc-Coy was fourth in kills with five.
Sophomore Skylar Mears led the team in blocks with four while senior Rhagen Masur led the team in digs with 24. Junior Skylar Herring led the team in assists with 18 followed by junior Carson Peoples with 14.
The Texans then went on the road Friday in a showdown with Navarro, being the district opener for both teams.
The Texans won a hard fought first set at 25-18 before dominating the Panthers in the second set 2512.
Wimberley completed the district opening sweep with a 25-17 win in the third set.
Hennessee led the team in kills with 16 followed by Parks with nine. Junior Cameron Thames was third in kills with seven.
McCoy led the team in blocks with three and Masur led the team in digs with 16. Herring led the team in assists with 21 followed by Parks with 16.
Wimberley returns home for a massive showdown with the No. 15 Davenport Wolves. Tipoff will be Tuesday before the Wimberley View Press Time.
The Texans will be back on the road Friday in a showdown with the rival Fredericksburg Battlin’ Billies.
