Is It Just Me?

I am again trying to lose a few pounds. Yes, it is the story of my life, but this time I mean it. I was looking up various diets that might work for me, with my limitations. The biggest limitation is that I don’t cook very much. It just seems like such a waste of time. When I am hungry, I want to eat pretty quickly. I have eliminated some of the diets I found, like Keto, the Mediterranean diet, the Vegan or Paleo diet. The Keto diet is basically a low carb, high fat diet. You cut back on easily digested food such as white bread, soda, pastries and sugar. But you can eat high cocoa chocolate. I am guessing that my chocolate croissants are a no-no. I can probably do the high fat part, but the low carb is going to be difficult. I love my carbs!
The Mediterranean diet consists of eating lots of fruits, vegetables, fish and healthy oils while restricting refined or highly processed foods. That would empty my pantry.
The Paleo diet makes you eat like a prehistoric man or woman by consuming lots of fruits, vegetables, meat, fish and seeds. You have to avoid dairy products and grains. Did they never milk a buffalo back then? So my grilled cheese sandwiches, which I can cook, are out. Probably so is ice cream.
The Vegan diet says you can eat anything except meat, eggs, dairy, cheese, butter and sour cream or anything made with these products. Really, what is left? Yes, I know that fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds are allowed. So now my refrigerator would have to be totally emptied out.
I need an easy diet and am developing one that fits my lifestyle.
I just have a few questions: How many single serving cookie packs would be considered a meal? Would I get enough protein from a box of Cheezits? Would the chopped lettuce on a couple of tacos constitute enough green, leafy veggies for the day? And, is a bag of chips too many carbs?
This might work!
