July is Parks and Rec month. Wimberley is celebrating with an exciting challenge – the Parks and Rec Month Virtual 50K. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to add some extra steps to your day, this event is perfect for everyone who loves the great outdoors and wants to stay active. The Wimberley Community Center, 14068 RR12, will host Life Line Screening services on Friday, September 13. The test screens for carotid artery disease, atrial fibrillation, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral artery disease, and hypertension. The cost for testing is $149. Shakespeare in the Park, 8 to 10 p.m., at Blue Hole.
Performances from The Central Texas Theatre Academy’s 6-week Shakespeare program, with professional workshops, full rehearsals, and set and costume construction. Presented in conjunction with Wimberley Parks and Rec. Free. Reservations not required.
