The Wimberley Valley Big Band’s second annual Rhapsody in Bluebonnets Gala Concert and Dance, 7 to 9 p.m., at Old Glory Ranch, 3633 River Road, will feature new music, new vocal performances, and a silent auction with gifts and experiences focused on fun. Individual tickets and tables of ten are available.

Schutze Scores Productions presents Outlaws in the Opera House Comedy Showcase, 7:30 p.m. in the Opera House at 7A Ranch, 333 Wayside Drive. Master entertainer Jade Esteban Estrada, also known as The Prada Enchilada, performs. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

“Doubt: A Parable,” opens Friday on the Wimberley Players stage and continues through May 19. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $25, available online at wimberleyplayers.org or by calling 512 847-0575. The Wimberley Valley Museum presents their annual Pie Social, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on their grounds at 14068 RR12. A pie eating contest and judging for Best Pie, as well as first, second and third place pie awards will be given in each category. Hot dogs, family friendly activities and music by Marvin and Laura Bottera are part of the fun as is museum viewing and selfies against the museum’s new mural. More information at wimwic.org.

The 17th Wimberley Arts Fest, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday will be held at the Waters Point Resort, 13401 Ranch Road 12. More than a hundred fine artists from 14 states will display their work. Shade, onsite parking, food, drink and continuous live music are part of the event. No charge to attend. A $10 parking fee will be charged for on-site parking. Free shuttles to nearby parking areas and to the Wimberley Square will run both days. The “One Page Salon,’’ 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the patio of the 220 Fine Art Gallery on 220 Old Kyle Road. A popular readers event by the Austin Texas League of Writers will be part of the Wimberley Area Writers 2024 launch. Event is free. Doors open at 6 p.m. with a cash bar provided by Ranch Brand Wine and Spirits.

The Civic Club’s Tablescapes Showcase, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Vintage Oaks Farm in Driftwood. Designs by ten teams will culminate in a raffle of one of the top table designs to raise money for Wimberley area non-profits and scholarships for graduating high school seniors.
