Birdies for Business

Birds and Brew

Are you an aspiring birder who wants to learn more about birds? Join Blue Hole Regional park as they go on a bird outing through Blue Hole searching for feathered friends with aviary biologists from SWCA Environmental Consultants. Meet in the swimming area parking lot for coffee and conversation before the outing. Bring your own reusable mug or use the cups we provide. Kid-friendly binoculars will be provided but feel free to bring your own. The even starts at 8 a.m. on March 26.

Hill Country Community Band concert

The Hill Country Community Band will present a concert of music from “Around the World” on Saturday, April 9th, 2022, at 2 p.m. The event will take place at the First Baptist Church

I’m a Caregiver, Now What?

“I’m a Caregiver, Now What?” will be on Thursday, April 28, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in McArthur Hall at

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, and will include lunch. There is no cost for the workshop or for lunch, but RSVP is required. Jane Wyatt will be the presenter. Her presentation will also include activities for memory care and eldercare recipients. Persons planning to attend may RSVP to Sharon East at [email protected].

RECURRING EVENTS KOC Fish Fry

St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus will host the annual Friday fish fry starting March 4 through April 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. or until sold out. They will be serving the usual fried catfish, hushpuppies, cole slaw, beans, French fries and dessert. The plates are $15 each. To go or dinein options available at the church hall.

Rustic Moon Bookshop: The Writing Life Book Club

The Rustic Moon Bookshop hosts a Book Club that reads books written by authors about their writing lives and then discusses them via Zoom meetings. They meet the first Wednesday of each month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Contact Aimee Luna at (512)629-0065 or via email at [email protected].

Wimberley Civic Club Spring Events

Wimberley Area Cancer Support Group

If you have experienced the diagnosis of cancer now or in the past, we invite you to meet with the Cancer Support Group, sponsored by St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, to talk and relax with others who share your experiences. Meetings are in the Chamber of Commerce members’ room, 11:30 AM - 1 PM on the second Wednesday of the month.
