Free tax help for seniors is available every Friday through April 12, 12:30 to 2:50 p.m. at the Wimberley Senior Center, located in the Wimberley Community Center. March 1 and 2

Starlight Symphony Orchestra presents their Young Artist Concert, March 1, 7 p.m. at Hays Consolidated Independent Performing Arts Center, 979 Kohler’s Crossing in Kyle, and on March 3 at 3:30 p.m. at Wimberley First Baptist Church, 15951 Winters Mill Pkwy. Concert is free and open to the public.

March 1, 2 and 3

Performances of “Shakespeare in Love” at the Wimberley Playhouse Friday, Saturday and Sunday through March 17. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets at wimberleyplayers.org.

March 2

Texas Style Giving and Wimberley Texan Athletic Booster Association is holding the second annual Love Like Logan: L3 Benefit to raise funds for scholarships. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with a five-course dinner, paired cocktails, auction, dancing and live music by Heather Wiley and friends at the Messina Inn, 1000 Cypress Creek Ln. March 3

Three Cheers to Wimberley, a celebration of milestones for the Wimberley Valley hosted by the City of Wimberley and WimberleyArts.org begins at 3:30 p.m. at the Oak Park welcome Center, 107 Oak Drive, a block south of the Wimberley square. Free and open to the public, the party features music by the Hill Country Honeys, beer by Roughhouse Brewing and wine from Ranch Brands.

March 5

Texas Joint Primary Elections, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three polling locations in Wimberley: the Texan Academy at Scudder in the Gym at 400 Green acres Drive; the VFW Post #6441 at 401 Jacobs Well Road; and Wimberley Community Center, Blanco Room at 14068 RR12.

March 6

Stars over Wimberley Benefit Concert Series presents Gary P. Nunn and Bob Livingston, 7:30 p.m. at the Wimberley Playhouse, 450 Old Kyle Road. Tickets at starsoverwimberley.org.

The Adult Craft LAB is a year-round tinker and craft program for adults 18 and up organized by the Wimberley Valley Library. Classes are held via Zoom on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.

Farmers and Artisan market, a community-based endeavor, specializes in fresh foods from growers and welcomes art, craft and other vendors. Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Cowboy Church, 120 Green Acres Dr. The Wimberley Valley Museum located in the historic Winters-Wimberley House, 14068 Ranch Rd 12, is open for visitors on Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, and on the first Friday and Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For information, go to wimwic.org.

MONTHLY EVENTS

Coffee and Cars is held the first Sunday of the month at Blanco Brew, 14200 RR12, from 8 to 11 a.m. Drivers with a hot rod, muscle car, sports car, exotic vehicle, classic truck or otherwise unique ride are welcome to put their car on display. For information, go to 12kingscarclub.com.

The Wimberley Valley Quilt Guild meets the first Wednesday of each month at the Wimberley Presbyterian Church at 956 RR2325. Social time is at 10 a.m., followed by a brief business meeting at 10:30 a.m.

The Jacob’s Well Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution meets in Wimberley every second Monday to pursue historic preservation, patriotism and education in service to the community. For information, email [email protected].
