The Wimberley Community Civic Club has announced that 2024 grant applications from local nonprofits serving the Wimberley 78676 zip code will be accepted from March 1 – 18.
The Civic Club raises funds by hosting events throughout the year. Proceeds from events provide scholarships for Wimberley high school seniors and grants to area nonprofits. In 2023, the Civic Club contributed a combined total of $75,000 to the community. Eight students received $22,000 in scholarships and 26 non-profits were awarded $53,000 in grants.
The grant application is an online, easy-to-complete Google form. For full information about grant guidelines, including a list of required information, organizations are encouraged to read the Grants section of the Civic Club website at wimberleyccc. org/grants. Grant guidelines will be posted by the end of January.
“Attending a Civic Club event is an excellent way for individuals to support the needs of the Wimberley community and have fun at the same time” said President Becky Selman. Events in early 2024 include Magic Dinner Theatre on February 17, Trivia Night on March 23, the Spring Event series on various dates, and the popular Hill Country Home Tour on April 12 and 13. Tickets are available now at wimberleyccc. org.
