The Wimberley Texans (13-8) went on the road to take on the Boerne Greyhounds (18-5) Tuesday night in a district matchup that saw Boerne outing the Texans with a final score of 47-34.
The Texans jumped out to an early three point lead at the end of the first quarter but after only scoring 4 points in second quarter and the Greyhounds hitting three pointers at the right time, the Texans lost the lead and were never able to get it back falling to the Boerne Greyhounds 47-34 in a low scoring game.
Sophomore Paul Gumbert led the Texans in scoring with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals.
The Wimberley Texans (13-9) are currently sitting at 4th place in the district looking to give themselves a little room for comfort with a win over the Panthers (7-11) Tuesday night at 6:30 as their two game road stretch comes to an end in another district matchup game as Wimberley looks to snap their two game losing streak.
